Following the successful launch of Enterprising Women’s Skipton Business Club, they are getting set for their next meeting…
And if you’ve ever uttered the words, “I’ve got nothing to wear…” then this is a meeting not to be missed!
What we wear and how we look has an undeniable effect on how we feel; whether it’s a smart suit and killer heels or something casual and comfortable.
On the 3rd July, the ladies of Skipton Business Club are being joined by Stephanie Roper, owner and founder of the Wardrobe Angel.
Having started her career as a Visual Merchandising Manager, Stephanie not only got to see the business end of retail, but developed a keen eye for detail and fashion. Spotting a gap in the market for women who just didn’t know what to wear or buy, Stephanie now offers a consultation service that can do everything from tell you what to wear through to what to buy in a 3 hour speed shopping session.
Stephanie says, “Wardrobes are fascinating to me; each client has a story told through the clothes hanging in their wardrobe: which items were purchased with a friend, which were impulse buys, which items are the ‘comfort zone.”
“Some ladies have lots of clothes but nothing to wear, others wish it could be more versatile, perhaps doubling up work and casual wear with some clever buying. The Wardrobe Angel service is all about getting the most out of your clothes and the money you paid for them, whilst looking fantastic in the process”
The Skipton Business Club, which meets on a monthly basis, brings together like-minded local female entrepreneurs, with a focus on knowledge sharing, guest speakers, success stories and workshops.
It is estimated that there are almost 1.5 million self-employed women in the UK generating more than £130 million, a figure that is set to double over the next ten years. Through these local business clubs, Enterprising Women will support businesswomen through training, mentoring, networking and practical advice to help them reach their potential.
Club host, Emma Pentelow, is Director of The Pentelow Practice. A busy mum of two young children aged 2 and 5, she understands the challenges of juggling a successful business and a family.
She says, “I’m delighted to be hosting the Enterprising Women Business Club in Skipton. After a successful launch, we have another great event lined up. We know there is a thriving demand for top quality services in this locality and hope that these meetings continue to showcase the pool of talent among women in the area,”
