Fine florist picks Ilkley
Expert florist Erica Berry has chosen Ilkley as the location for a new shop after spending recent years focussing on weddings and event floristry from a studio in Keighley.
Erica Berry Flowers is due to open at the beginning of December at 5 Railway Road in Ilkley and will fill the need for a bespoke florist in the town centre.
In the floristry business since 1986, Erica had her first shop Berry’s in Skipton, moving to the Grove Promenade in Ilkley and later larger premises on Bolling Road before a health scare necessitated a break from the business in 2007.
Erica’s expertise has been recognised by her floristry peers, representing the North East region at national competition level and winning medals at Chelsea Flower Show. Sourcing special blooms and providing creative, artistic displays, her return to the town in the new central location will be welcomed by homeowners, hoteliers and brides in particular.
Working alongside Erica will be long-time colleague Libby Ayrton, an experienced florist herself.
Speaking about the new shop, Erica said “It will be great to be selling flowers again alongside the creative side of the business, and I’m excited that we have a really good team in place to offer high quality floristry services.”
Erica and Libby welcome customers old and new along to a celebratory open day event on Saturday 6th December from 9am – 6pm. The festive event will feature special offers, a raffle in aid of Manorlands Hospice, wine and nibbles along with a chance to see, purchase or order fabulous Christmas wreaths and seasonal displays.
