Craven District Council again welcomes Mo Usman from global change management consultancy Sterling & Templar to speak to Craven businesses in the concluding session of his series of free leadership seminars. The event will be hosted at the council offices at Belle Vue Square in Skipton, on 20th January from 12-3.30pm and includes a buffet lunch.
The workshop, normally valued at £300, is offered free to Craven businesses, with places limited to 18 delegates and has been made possible by financial support from the European Regional Development Fund which will end shortly.
Mo will be focussing on how good leaders can manage perspectives on change to implement new strategies, communicate them clearly and provide tools for approaching change positively.
He will summarise previous material covered in the autumn sessions and expand on the breadth and depth of those themes. He will expand on the importance of using proven psychological techniques, insight discovery and understanding the emotional intelligence of teams to provide supportive leadership throughout the process of change.
Using new theories on learning, techniques in understanding diversity and in reflecting on learning to understand our own personality strengths and weaknesses, the session will provide a supportive forum to consider new ways of helping Craven business teams to work together more effectively and productively.
Colonel Mo Usman is a Director at Sterling and Templar who provide learning and development experiences through interactive workshops and personal coaching for the workplace.
Rural Business Development Officer Stefan Sykes commented “Mo’s earlier sessions have been very informative and well received, and we’re looking forward to offering this final opportunity to business owners in the region to benefit from his insightful training”.
