The Yorkshire Care Collaboration will be hosting a seminar to address key Pensions & Payroll issues in the Care Sector on Wednesday 21st November.
The event will run from 9.30am – 12.30 and is to be held at the premises of Disability Action Yorkshire on Hornbeam Park Oval in Harrogate.
Delegates will learn about the HMRC’s introduction of a new way to report PAYE. Called Real Time Information (RTI) the new system will require all PAYE payments to be submitted online each time a payment is made in the payroll process. The legislative change to payroll is the single biggest change to payroll procedure since 1944 and the YCC seminar will address the practical process with specific reference to the care industry.
Delivered by Chris Holmes of Chartered Financial Direction, the seminar will also address pensions in the care sector. From 2012, changes to pensions law affect every employer in the UK to ensure that people save for their retirement. Certain members of the workforce must automatically be enrolled into a pension scheme and a regular contribution made to the fund.
The Pensions & Payroll seminar is part of a program of topical workshops delivered by the Yorkshire Care Collaboration over the coming months. Designed to support care sector businesses in an environment that is focussed on the key issues affecting them, the regular events also provide a platform and resource for networking with fellow professionals and sharing common experiences.
The Yorkshire Care Collaboration was formed by a group of successful independent companies in their own right, each with experience in providing a broad range of products and services to the care sector. With an understanding of the specific issues facing companies involved in care provision, each is able to provide specialist advice for care home owners and other private sector providers, together forming an initiative which informs and nurtures care businesses to become more efficient and successful.
Industry specific consultancy and hands-on support for all the key aspects of care businesses, including Building & Construction, Health & Safety, Marketing & Communications, Web Design & Corporate Video and Legal & Financial advice is provided individually or collectively by the Yorkshire Care Collaboration.
