Figaro Owners Club

In 2017 Manifest put together a classic car rally for the Figaro Owners Club to showcase The Yorkshire Dales to its members across the globe. We promoted the rally to club owners, attracting visitors from across Europe and the UK, many of whom had never visited Yorkshire before. The rally booked up in a record time, also attracting the largest number of rally attendees in the club’s history with 60 cars taking part.

As well as arranging a straightforward scenic driving tour of the area, to provide an unforgettable Yorkshire experience, we set about providing a full entertainment programme with visits to key attractions including Skipton Castle, Stump Cross Caverns, Kilnsey Park, Bolton Abbey, The Forbidden Corner and Malham Cove which involved co-ordinating with those venues regarding reserved parking and catering arrangements. The opening evening dinner at The Rendezvous Hotel featured a performance from a local morris dancing side and a ceilidh. For the following evening we arranged a pop-up craft fair inviting local businesses to exhibit handmade Yorkshire products so the rally members could choose unique gifts to take home. We also provided an opportunity to meet The Calendar Girls, while raising money for Bloodwise.

All rally attendees received a goody bag featuring gifts and promotional materials which we sourced from our contacts; Yorkshire Tea, Welcome to Yorkshire, Yorkshire Life, The Dalesman, Aspire, and Keelham Farm Shop among many others.

Our PR campaign attracted the interest of the local and regional media who gave substantial coverage to the 3-day event across a range of news and lifestyle titles.

The 56 page rally guide booklet we produced championed the Dales – https://indd.adobe.com/view/d15148ea-17ba-49c7-af67-2ab910a630e5 and was received with much acclaim. As was the video of the rally we commissioned and briefed for the club website.

Later that year, the rally was submitted by the club in the Best Rally category at the national Classic Car Show.
