The Tenants Arms Hotel has added talented sous chef Thomas Beard to its kitchen team as it continues to grow its reputation as the Yorkshire Dales’ leading ‘up and coming’ premier gastro pub, nestled beneath the iconic limestone rock face of Kilnsey Crag.
Chef Beard has worked in top restaurants including The Angel Inn in Hetton, the Hipping Hall in Kirkby Lonsdale and most recently at the Michelin starred Northcote Manor in Blackburn.
With an inspiring culinary style defined by refining the original flavours of fresh ingredients, chef Beard combines traditional and modern cooking techniques.
Proprietor and executive chef at the Tenants Arms Tom Garland-Jones said: “I am delighted to have Tom Beard joins us. His cooking style and ambition is the perfect match for the restaurant ethos and my vision for the Tennants as we work towards our own Michelin stars.”

Chef Beard has also created a six-course tasting menu initiative inspired by the Yorkshire Dales and dictated by the seasons. After a successful launch in September, this series of special dinner events, A Taste of the Dales, continues on October 24 and November 28, and is scheduled for the fourth Thursday of every month in 2020.
