Anyone can do social media, right?

Well, yes. In fact, more than 45 million people in the UK have active social media accounts.

But while anyone can post pictures of their cats  – and you can never have too many cat pictures – maximising social media for business isn’t quite so straightforward.

Social media is now key to the successful businesses marketing strategy of pretty much every business; from one-man bands to huge multi-national corporations.

It can be used for a variety of purposes such as simple branding, effective advertising, a customer support tool, gaining feedback and reviews or engaging with new and existing customers.

Having an account with the occasional post isn’t enough, however.
