CARING veterinary nurses from Kingsway Vets in Skipton are to compete in the gruelling Tough Mudder challenge to raise money for Manorlands and Mind.
The team of five nurses will take part in the Broughton Hall event of the worldwide Tough Mudder challenge on Sunday August 7th 2016.
Tackling over ten miles of extreme obstacles the team orientated endurance assault course challenges the hardiest of participants. But following months of fitness training the nurses feel ready to swap their clinically-clean environment for one more muddier, as they prepare to crawl through dirt and plunge into filthy water as part of this epic challenge.
The team of nurses hope to raise money for the local Sue Ryder hospice, Manorlands and the national mental health charity Mind.
Veterinary Nurse Laura Bartlett said, “This will be one of the toughest challenges any of us have done. But there are no clocks to compete against, it is just about supporting one another around the obstacles, having lots of fun together and raising money for a local and national charity close to our hearts.”
Anyone wishing to donate can do so through Just Giving or at the Kingsway practice in Skipton.
